The Geary 18, formerly known as the " Flattie", is more than a fun recreational and racing small sailboat -- it is the way a great bunch of people get together in fleet racing and regattas from British Columbia in Canada, to Washington, Oregon, California and Texas. Besides racing and discussing rigging, sails and fittings, there are potlucks, picnics and awards banquets. A newsletter keeps members in touch with friends in other fleets and includes "how-to" articles and association news.
